Karen Monaldi memorial fund established to support junior golf

The Karen Monaldi Golf Scholarship Fund was created to honor the achievements of the late Karen Monaldi. Karen was the 1969 Indiana State Amateur Golf champion and longtime member of the LPGA. She was also a teaching pro and high school golf coach. Karen passed away after a battle with brain cancer in 2015. This fund was created to support youth golf instruction in Northwest Indiana. Golf scholarships will be issued to students enrolled in the First Tee of Hammond. The First Tee provides golf instruction and character development lessons to athletes age 5-18 in Northwest Indiana.
